Creating the site
When you order a site, we work with you to design a layout and style that will suit your school.  We can start with your existing logo and styles used for printed information and design a site to complement these.  We are more than happy to make use of ideas you may already have.  Or perhaps you could have a competition among the children to design the pages.

Defining the structure
Once the appearance of the site has been decided, we work with you to decide what information you want on your site.  Again, you will have your own ideas but we can make it easy to include general information about the school, the latest news items, newsletters, pictures of the school and examples of the pupils' work.  Extra pages can be added later as you discover new ways of using your website.

Keeping it up to date
This is a key feature of the 'SchoolSitesOnLine' system.  You have one or more username/passwords to log onto your site.  For some pages you will have a simple WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editor to change the text and add pictures to the page.  Other pages include easy ways to upload pictures or documents.  The great thing is that anyone can do it.  The Headteacher can put news items on immediately, the secretary can upload a newsletter when it is ready, class teachers can put their pupils' work on during a project.....Updating can be done from any internet connected computer (even at home) so there is no bottleneck waiting for someone else to do it.
